Welcome to Times of Pulses — the place where smart money moves begin.
If you’ve ever opened your banking app and felt that little knot in your stomach, you’re in the right place. We built this site for exactly that feeling — the moment when you realize you want your money working for you instead of the other way around.
Who We Are
Times of Pulses is an independent personal finance publication founded by Shehbaz Ali in July 2026. We focus on one thing: helping everyday Americans — especially those living paycheck to paycheck — make smarter decisions about saving, debt, credit, and investing.
Our name comes from a simple idea: every financial decision has a pulse. The 20% APR creeping up on your credit card. The $2,000 emergency that arrives uninvited. The retirement account you keep meaning to open “next month.” These are the pulses of your financial life — and if you learn to read them early, you can act before they become problems.
Meet the Founder
Shehbaz Ali is the founder and lead writer at Times of Pulses.
By day, Shehbaz works in accounts and operations, where he manages ledgers, reconciles receivables and payables, and prepares monthly profit & loss statements for a multi-outlet business. It’s a job built entirely on one discipline: getting the numbers right — because in real business, a single unchecked figure can cost real money.
That same discipline is what he brings to Times of Pulses. Every article on this site is anchored in data from primary sources — the Federal Reserve, the CFPB, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and published research — with every statistic linked so you can verify it yourself. Shehbaz writes for readers the way he keeps books: clearly, accurately, and with no room for guessing.
“I’ve spent years making sure other people’s money records add up to the penny. This blog is me doing the same for your financial decisions.” — Shehbaz Ali
Shehbaz is currently completing an Associate Degree in Commerce, deepening his knowledge of accounting and finance beyond his hands-on experience.

Our Editorial Standards
Finance content can change lives — for better or worse. That’s why we hold ourselves to standards that go beyond a typical blog:
1.Primary sources first. We anchor our reporting in data from the Federal Reserve, CFPB, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and published research — not other blogs.
2.Citations for every claim. Every statistic in our articles links to its original source, so you can verify our work yourself.
3.Clear separation of fact and opinion. Analysis is labeled as analysis. Numbers are numbers.
4.Honest updates. When rates change, plans change, or a prediction ages poorly, we update or clearly date our articles.
5.No manufactured urgency. We will never tell you to “act now or miss out” — that’s how financial anxiety gets exploited.
How We Work
We believe in transparency with our readers. Drafts at Times of Pulses are produced with the assistance of AI tools, which help us process large volumes of public data quickly. However, every article is researched, fact-checked, edited, and approved by Shehbaz personally before publication. AI never speaks for us — it’s a tool, the same way a calculator is. Our facts, our judgment, and our responsibility to you are always human.
Not Financial Advice
Times of Pulses provides educational information and analysis, not personalized financial advice. We are not licensed financial advisors, and our content should not replace advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation. See our Disclaimer for full details.
